Some Life Happenings from Mama Spark's World

I Rang The Bell from Mama Spark's World

Yesterday was my last radiation treatment.  A total of 15 treatments finished!  I believe I am now considered NED (no evidence of disease)  I brought cookies for my amazing radiation team.  They took great care of me and made my treatments easier.  I got a certificate and everything, LOL.They invited me to come back and visit them, haha.  Such sweet people.They came out into the hall with me and

Surgery Day from Mama Spark's World

Yesterday was my lumpectomy.  We arrived at the clinic and were assigned a number.  Lucky 13!  I say that in all sincerity.  It is a very lucky number for me.  This was just before they called me back.This was as they were taking me back to surgery.The procedure took a little over an hour and a half.  It was outpatient.  I got home and didn't have too much pain.  They gave me some pain meds but

Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Heart Pillow from Tea Rose Home

Today marks my 3rd mastectomy anniversary. If you are interested you can read about it in my blog post after when I was diagnosed, the day of the mastectomy and the day I came home from the hospital.

Happy Fourth of July to my readers in the United States!
I hope you all are doing well!  I am rejoicing as I celebrate another 6 month breast cancer check up.  
However, this summer two acquaintances have passed from cancer.  This naturally led me to dealing with Survivors' Guilt yet again.  This time, I decided to face it head on and find some guidance and comfort in God's Word.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Eagle Scout Project from Tea Rose Home


Today is exactly one year since my double mastectomy. It has been quite a hard and amazing at the same time type of year for me. But hey, I am here with my family and I am extremely grateful for many things. I am planning on a special giveaway really soon and I will share more about my journey in that post.

Leaving It All On The Table from From the Strawberry Patch...

I have started out the month by finishing up a couple of table toppers for fall. Both of these were done from charm squares. The first, shown left, is called "Split Square" and came straight from Country Threads' book: "Sew Charming". This was the small quilt that I hurriedly pieced together before the all-important block "trim down" stage.
